Charles Parker Day, 2007

The fourth Charles Parker Day Conference, run by the Centre for Broadcasting History Research, was held on 30 March 2007, in Birmingham.

Hosted by the Department of Media and Communication at the University of Central England, this year’s event featured a range of invited speakers: Gillian Reynolds (Daily Telegraph); Bert Hogenkamp (Utrecht University); Sian Roberts of Birmingham Library’s Connecting Histories Project; archivist Doc Rowe and Ben Harker (author of the authorized biography of Ewan MacColl, forthcoming in Pluto Press).
