This privacy notice tells you about the information we collect from you when you engage with our organisation through personal contact, through our website or by attending one of our events.
In collecting this information, we are acting as a data controller and, by law, we are required to provide you with information about us, about why and how we use your data, and about the rights you have over your data.

What personal data do we collect?

We ask you for your name and email address when you become a Friend of the Charles Parker Archive, attend one of our events, or when you sign up online using our Mailchimp account. If you make a donation or pay a subscription, we also ask for a postal contact address.

If you sign up online as a Friend, payments would be taken via Paypal but your payment details would not be stored by the Trust.

Information is also collected by our social media accounts – Twitter and Facebook – and it is stored within those platforms and used in accordance with their privacy policies.

What do we do with your information?

We will store your information in our Mailchimp account, and will contact you with details of the annual Charles Parker Day and other news that may be of interest. We also use Facebook and Twitter to share information, in accordance with the privacy policies of those platforms.
You have a right at any time to stop us from contacting you, and if you no longer wish to be contacted, please let us know.
Your data will not be shared with third parties.

Your rights over your information

You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. If you would like a copy of some or all of your personal information, please email us. We want to make sure that your personal information is accurate and up to date. You may ask us to correct or remove information you think is inaccurate.
